The construction of the new National Data Center has entered a decisive stage and is approaching completion. With about 75% of the work finished, the Government expects the infrastructure to be operational in the first half of 2026. This project represents one of the most strategic public investments for the country's technological modernization, with an estimated budget of 90 million dollars..
Infrastructure prepared for the digital future
The National Data Center was designed to meet the current and future demands of the Angolan digital ecosystem. Composed of 12 container-format modules, the infrastructure will be able to accommodate up to 336 racks, with robustness, scalability, and redundancy. This capacity will allow the hosting of critical systems of public entities, as well as high-impact digital service applications.
Modular architecture and technical design follow international standards for safety, operational continuity, and energy efficiency. The goal is to ensure that Angola has a stable and modern technical base to support the growth of digital public administration, business services, and e-commerce.
Mandatory migration of public services
One of the most striking measures announced is the requirement for all public services to migrate to the National Data Center within 30 days after it becomes operational. This decision aims to ensure centralization, standardization, and greater control over the State's technological infrastructure.

More than an engineering work, it represents a structural change in the way the country manages and provides digital services. Its inauguration will open a new chapter in national technological development, and position us on a more solid path toward modernization, efficiency, and digital competitiveness.
